The best thing was looking out at the view in the morning. The cabin was basic, but had everything we needed.
The beds were not very comfortable, the pillows were especially un-comfortable. We would go back, however we would bring out own pillows.

Warm, cozy, brand-new cabin was well-equipped and easy to heat. We parked the car upon arrival and walked everywhere for 12 days with one exception (30-minute drive to natural hot springs). We left our patisserie order at reception in the evenings and picked up fresh baguettes, pain aux raisin or croissant after 8:15 AM. Yum! The staff couldn't be nicer: very kind, happy, helpful, efficient people! Re: location, it was ideal: we walked daily to the ski shop where our skis and boards were stored, and then rode tele-cabine lift to the station de ski. On the way back, we stopped daily at the Fromage & Salaison shop across the street where we took our own "tour de France."
The cabin worked quite well for us (parents & two grown children), but sound-proofing is non-existent: we could hear each other breathe or turn over in bed during the night (interior doors don't help much). The beds were very hard. Probably better for our backs but it was a big adjustment for all. Re: comments by other reviewers: True: the cabin is new and tree sap oozes in many places. We too were unaware of the need to clean before leaving but it was not a problem for us. We sort of expected it because they provide everything you need to tidy up. They may have told us upon arrival but we don't remember. Perhaps this could be part of the "welcome" materials, but honestly we didn't look at any of those until the last night anyway. :)
